A man has been charged over the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old male in a quiet country town just one month after another teen was also killed in a knife attack.
Emergency services were called to a home on McDougall Street in the Northern Rivers town of Casino early Saturday morning.
The teen was found with stab wounds to his neck but died at the scene, despite desperate attempts to revive him.
The boy's parents were home at the time of the brutal attack.
Detectives cordoned off the street and launched Strike Force Linford to investigate the death believed to be linked to another fatal stabbing outside a KFC on May 29.
Strike force inquiries led to the arrest of a man, 18, at a Casino home on Sunday morning.

A second crime scene was established at his home after the man's arrest and is being forensically examined.

Lachlan Andrews, 17, and Harrison Hone, 18, were allegedly stabbed outside the fast-food restaurant when a fight involving 20 people broke out around 5.10pm on May 29.
Mr Andrews died at the scene while Mr Hone was rushed to hospital in a serious condition before later stabilising.
Police are probing if Mr Andrews was targeted over a love triangle involving his pregnant girlfriend.
Locals have been left shellshocked by the string of violence.
'It's scary and it's very sad,' one neighbour told Nine News.
